Fracking uses water. Lots of water.

(It also contaminates water.)

In this short  video, GASLAND Director Josh Fox visits Parker County in Texas where 30 percent of their water is used for fracking. Thirty percent! Fracking is depleting the Brazos River, where the water no longer reaches the boat docks.

This could happen near you.

If you like water—whether for drinking or recreation—I encourage you to watch this, learn all you can about fracking and take action.

On October 19, thousands of concerned citizens around the world will unite in an international day of action to tell officials that the journey to renewable energy will not be fueled by shale gas. Visit globalfrackdown.org to join the fight and find an event near you.
