A Culmination to Chicago Fashion Focus 2010.

As part of Chicago’s commitment to becoming the greenest city in the U.S., Conscious Living TV and Mercedes Benz are pleased to present the second annual eco-fashion experience–Vert Couture–as a culmination to Chicago Fashion Focus 2010. This eco-fashion runway show and charity event is October 24th and benefits Chicago Gateway Green.

The catwalk’s gonna rock.

This year’s catwalk will feature the SS2011 lines of some of Chicago’s top sustainable and fair trade designers including: Modahnik, 71 Jules, Crescendo Apparel, Vintage Style by Bryant McLemore; jewelry and accessories by Choosy Jewels by Manny B & Susan Pool, Fanta Celah and Sophia Forero. Mohop Shoe and Kailia Footwear will equip the runway with conscious, fabulous footwear.

Native Energy will offset the carbon generated by the event. Karen’s on Green, Chicago’s pre-eminent luxury vegan restaurant, will provide the cuisine for the VIP Reception, with sustainable, gluten-free ultra premium cocktails by Krome Vodka.

Vert Couture was a sell-out event last year, so be sure to grab your tickets while you can!

Highlights from Vert Couture 2009

Last’s years event was the first ever official all-eco fashion show and lifestyle event to grace the runways of Chicago Fashion Focus. I was there and it made me realize my wardrobe needed an overhaul.
Vodpod videos no longer available.

I can’t wait (did I say that already?)! Until then, I’ll struggle with what to wear–-my wardrobe (still in need of an overhaul) consists of t-shirts and jeans. Hope to see you there! Cheers!

Vert Couture event sponsors include Mercedes Benz of Chicago, Native Energy, Conscious Planet Media, Mindful Metropolis, Conscious Living TV, Consolidated Printing, Green Exchange, myEARTH360.com and more.
