For one it’s fracked up.
Fracking (aka, hydraulic fracturing or industrial gas drilling) is a dangerous way of getting oil and gas and a shortsighted energy strategy. It’s poisoning our air and water and on its way to jeopardizing the health of millions more Americans.
This short, funny video from EarthJustice explains this not-so-funny danger:
We can find a better way—one that protects our health and gives us clean, safe energy sources that never run out.
Your Voice Counts!
Thanks to a loophole in the Safe Drinking Water Act, oil and gas companies don’t even have to report what chemicals they are shooting into the ground. They also get special treatment under the Clean Air Act–and now drilling areas in Wyoming now have worse smog than Los Angeles!
